Getting verified: what the brand badge means for your shop
When a first-time customer lands on your shop, they have no way to know if your products are genuine. They cannot see your receipts from the brand, your authorisation letter, or your relationship with the distributor. All they see is your listing.
The verified badge changes that. It tells a customer that the brand itself has confirmed your shop is a legitimate stockist — before they read a description, check a price, or look at a review.
What verification actually is
Verification is not a rating or a review. It is a direct connection between your shop and a brand that is registered on Vyete.
When a brand approves your shop, a badge appears on your profile and on every product listing connected to that brand. It does not expire automatically — but the brand can revoke it if the relationship changes.
If you stock products from multiple brands, you can apply for verification from each one separately. Each approved verification appears on the relevant products.
Who can apply
Any shop that is an authorised stockist, reseller, or distributor of a Vyete-registered brand can apply. You do not need to be the exclusive stockist. You do need to actually sell that brand's products.
If the brand you stock is not yet registered on Vyete, you cannot apply — but you can ask the brand to register. This is worth doing if you rely heavily on one brand for a significant portion of your sales.
How to apply
From your dashboard, go to the Verification section and search for the brand by name. Submit your application — you may be asked to provide evidence of your authorised stockist status, depending on the brand's requirements.
The brand reviews your application and either approves or declines it. You will be notified of the outcome. If declined, you can contact the brand directly to resolve any issues before reapplying.
After approval
The badge appears automatically on your profile and on the relevant product listings. You do not need to do anything to display it.
Shops that receive their first verified badge typically see a meaningful lift in conversion on first-time customers within the first two to four weeks of approval.
